JOIN ME FOR SOME FREE YIN YOGA

I believe Yin Yoga is one of the most powerful antidotes to our fast paced and highly stimulating modern world. It is a movement practice where the focus is on slowing down and finding stillness. It is challenging! It’s in the stillness that we meet ourselves, are confronted by what we have been avoiding and distracting ourselves from and have the space to truly feel.

Our bodies are only able to truly heal when we are in a relaxed and regulated state. The way our modern society and lives are structured does not cultivate this. Dis-ease as a result of our modern lifestyle continues to rise. It’s more important than ever to weave in time and tools to give our bodies the chance to come back to centre. That is where Yin Yoga comes in.

On a physical level this practice is extremely supportive for improving flexibility and mobility. It promotes hydration of the joints and muscles through longer held, deeper stretches making it a great compliment for more active forms of exercise. These longer held poses provide an opportunity for us to release and create space not just in the physical body, but in the mind and the emotional body. It is an excellent tool for regulating the nervous system, and connecting with a sense of peace and inner trust. It can also help soothe anxiety, improve sleep, support injury recovery, aid digestion and relieve headaches.

It’s one of my most favourite practices and it is an honour to share some pre-recorded classes for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home. My classes are accessible for all levels, from complete beginners to more seasoned Yogis. I hope you find these practices supportive.
